LibDem-run Kingston Council has spent another £40,000 on new noticeboards, yet many are not kept up to date or maintained. The latest £40,000 is on top of hundreds of thousands spent previously on the expensive noticeboards.
Conservative Councillor Ian George said: “Kingston Council are wasting tens of thousands of pounds by not maintaining the expensive community noticeboards around the borough. Take a look at the Park Road Conservation Area noticeboard, it has not been used or maintained for many years and is covered in graffiti. The LibDems should be maintaining these expensive council assets rather than spending wasting tens of thousands of pounds paid for by local council tax-payers.”
